So basically what you can say is you can actually have this be the opposite in VOIP Phone Systems. So you can say with calls going out, and you can program this in the PBX, “I want you to use the number four line first. So I want you to use 410-685-2889. If that is being used, then I want you to use 410-685-2880. If that is being used, then I want you to use 410-685-2885.” So basically now within the PBX, you can program how you want people to be able to call out.

Now let’s say you don’t always want it or you want to make sure that all of your lines are always busy. Although you have four lines coming into your building, within your PBX you could program the telephone system to only allow the last two numbers to be used for outgoing calls. So you could only have two calls. That’s something that you can do. Beyond that, you can also program with the PBX like certain features.
